Lyrics

A forest fire
Some careless spark
Weren't we embers burning
In your mama's car?
The window warnings
Your body carved
A clear horizon
In that Aerostar

For a moment we were weightless
Taking off our masks
There were angels in the canyons
But the fire moved too fast
For a second we were infinite

But I mistook the glow
Suddenly the roar
Now suddenly the undertow

And the keys to your apartment
In the charred remains
And the kingdom of your heart bent
When you wrote my name

Just needed someone to walk you home

There was a magic show
And the world began
And your soul stretched farther than your skin
And for a moment all was calm
And I was home once
But now it's lost

For a moment we were weightless
Taking off our masks
There were angels in the canyons
But the fire moved too fast
For a second we were infinite
But I mistook the glow
Suddenly the roar
Now suddenly the undertow

And the keys to your apartment
In the charred remains
And the kingdom of your heart bent
As you wrote my name

Just needed someone to walk you home
Now I need someone to walk me home

Now I need someone to walk me home

And you can't go back again
And the doctors did what they said they could do
And you can't go back again
I know it's hard going through

Now I need someone to walk me home
